Application Form
|
Complete and print the Online Application Form. One recent passport size photo glued to the correct lower-right section of the application form.

Passport
|
Should be valid for a minimum of six months after requested visa's expiry date and should have at least 2 blank pages.

Status Proof
|
A valid resident visa (at least 6 months validity) needs to be shown.

Tourist Voucher
|
Original Tourist Voucher from a Russian (British) travel agency stamped and signed by an authorized person.

Invitation Letter
|
If visiting relatives or friends then the applicant should first obtain an official invitation and only then apply for a Private visa. Only original invitation documents issued by an appropriate Russian Federation Migration Service branch are accepted. To obtain such an invitation the applicant's relatives or friends are to present to the said branch a photocopy of the applicant's passport and personal data. Only after receiving this invitation the applicant should apply at the Russia Visa Application Center.

Postal Application:

Accepted. A Prepaid self addressed special delivery envelope for the return of the passport is to be included else a charge of £7.40 is to be paid. Only one passport per envelope is permitted so if a family of 3 is applying then 3 envelopes are to be provided. Only Postal Orders are accepted as a mode of payment while applying by post. Cash is not o be sent with the application.

Visa Application cannot be made earlier than 3 months in advance of the trip.
Tourists on board large cruise Ships should have the right to stay in the Russian Federation without a visa during 72 hours. They have the right to leave the ship and come back on board the ship only as part of an organized tourist group as per the list. In case a tourist wants to leave the ship alone, they would need a visa.
